Charity Reaves, Director of Organizational Development

“I was a fan of Smokey John’s first, then I became family. Now in my current role, I get to give back to this place that has given me so much. I graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing in 2003 and explored several careers before joining the family business in 2018. I enjoy using my background in marketing, education, training, and communications to lead initiatives that challenge norms, prompt change, and enhance our culture. I balance developing a strong infrastructure with fostering a supportive environment where our team members feel seen and valued.”

“When I was a kid, I loved being around people and food while spending time at the restaurant with my dad. That love continues today as I manage the daily business operations for Smokey John’s. I graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) with a Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant Management in 1999 and immediately joined the family business. With over 20 years of experience in the food service industry, I’m now focused on expanding our brand to create opportunities for my family, for people looking to develop their skills, and for those who simply need a second chance.“

“I first worked in our family’s restaurant the summer before fourth grade. Since then, I’ve been in and around the food service industry for most of my life. After graduating from Southwestern University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Communication in 1993, I pursued a career in sports marketing and media. Eventually, I decided to return to Smokey John’s and join my brother in taking our family business to the next level. For over ten years now, I’ve used my experience and skills to help build our brand into a thriving restaurant and a successful catering and concessions company.”
